Old Québec

  • Chez Boulay

Nestled along the charming and vibrant rue Saint-Jean in the Hôtel Manoir Victoria in Old Québec, Chez Boulay is the perfect place for intimate gatherings in a warm yet chic setting. Renowned chefs Jean-Luc Boulay and Arnaud Marchand serve Nordic-style cuisine infused with flavours from Québec’s boreal forests, crafted with local ingredients using techniques from French cooking. Groups can book La Table du Manoir banquet hall for larger gatherings.

  • Il Teatro

A jewel of a restaurant perched on the edge of Old Québec, Il Teatro welcomes guests with stunning early-1900s architecture and sumptuous modern Italian cuisine. It Teatro offers three private dining salons for smaller groups with views onto the glittering Place d’Youville square and historic Palais Montcalm performance hall. Guests can indulge in the restaurant’s seasonal table d’hôte menus and signature cocktails.

  • Pub Saint-Patrick

Guests can relax with a cold pint and enjoy elevated Québécois pub fare at the fun and friendly Pub Saint-Patrick on rue Saint-Jean. Pub Saint-Patrick and next door Maison Livernois are two of the most flexible and affordable restaurants with private rooms in Québec City. The pub offers several options for groups, with six private dining rooms and two table d’hôte dinner menus as well as a brunch menu. The pub can provide TVs and a projector for meetings and groups can also book live music or a DJ.

  • Maison Livernois

In the beating heart of rue Saint-Jean, Maison Livernois offers a refined experience where guests can enjoy the distillery’s in-house gin selection and signature cocktails alongside diverse à la carte or tables d’hôte dinner menus. Maison Livernois shares two large private rooms with Pub Saint-Patrick next door, providing similar options for meetings, dining, and entertainment. The restaurant also has an intimate tasting room and rents out the main dining area for events.  

Capacity: Groups of 18 up to 80 guests seated, 100 guests standing

  • Portofino

Tucked into a charming European-style side street just a step off of rue Saint-Jean, Portofino serves contemporary Italian dishes rooted in traditional flavours. Guests can enjoy wood-fired Neapolitan style pizzas, surf and turf dishes, and a wide selection of wines and signature cocktails while listening to live music. There’s a lounge for smaller groups and the restaurant can be booked out for larger gatherings.

  • Le Saint-Amour

An institution since 1978 with a star-studded list of celebrity guests, Le Saint-Amour is one of the most beautiful restaurants with private rooms in Québec City. The restaurant offers world-class French cuisine by Jean-Luc Boulay and Jacques Fortier in the centre of Old Québec. The restaurant has one of the top 10 largest wine cellars in the world, with over 15,000 bottles. Groups can savour Québec culinary excellence in Le Saint-Amour’s private and semi-private salons or the all-season indoor garden complete with a stunning glass ceiling. 

Capacity: From 12 up to 80 guests seated together, up to 120 guests in separate dining rooms

  • Aux Anciens Canadiens

Since 1966 Aux Anciens Canadiens has served as a cornerstone of Old Québec’s culinary history. The charming restaurant is located just down the street from the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in a former home built in 1675, the first in Upper Town. Guests can expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere and hearty traditional Québecois food that’s the perfect remedy for a cold winter’s day. 

Capacity: Up to 128 people

  • Restaurant Le Parlementaire

It’s not everyday you get to experience fine dining inside of one of Canada’s oldest legislative buildings. Restaurant Le Parlementaire is located in the National Assembly of Québec, which was completed in 1886. The restaurant’s main dining room features stunning interiors inspired by Beaux-Arts architecture. Each dish highlights regional flavours and ingredients from the Assembly’s own urban garden and bee hives. Groups can book one of several large event spaces and the restaurant offers a banquet menu as well as a cocktail dinner menu for groups.

Grande Allée

  • 3 Brasseurs

Warm and welcoming, 3 Brasseurs offers large groups beers and bites on the boisterous Grande Allée just steps away from Old Québec. The microbrewery serves up classic pub food with flexible table d’hôte menus and custom menu options. There are LCD screens available for presentations and free WiFi. Guests can cap off their dining experience with a tour around the brewery. 

Capacity: Up to 300 guests

  • Restaurant Ophelia

Immersed in Grande Allée’s historical architecture and a vibrant atmosphere, Restaurant Ophelia promises to leave a lasting impression on guests with its upscale surf and turf menu and sophisticated, ocean-inspired interior design. Ophelia’s beverage program boasts a variety of scotch, wine, and champagne. There are two elegant private rooms perfect for intimate gatherings that can be combined into one space for larger groups. 

Capacity: Between 10 and 40 guests

  • L’Atelier

Restaurant Ophelia’s sister bistro, L’Atelier, offers the same exceptional culinary experience as its sibling with laid-back ambiance. Their extensive selection of signature cocktails pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s refined yet approachable gastropub-inspired menu. L’Atelier has a large cocktail space above the restaurant that’s ideal for large gatherings. 

Capacity: Between 250-300 guests

  • Louis-Hébert

A comprehensive wine list and authentic French market cuisine set Louis-Hébert apart from the pub scene on Grande Allée. Chef Hervé Toussaint crafts dishes using fresh seafood and top-quality meats, blending gastronomic innovation with traditional techniques. Small groups can enjoy one of six private lounges while larger groups can take advantage of the restaurant’s glass-ceilinged indoor event space or book out the street-level terrace in the warmer months.

Capacity: Between 2 to 40 guests and up to 90 guests

Old Port

  • Chez Rioux & Pettigrew

Once Québec City’s primary grocery wholesaler in the Old Port, Rioux & Pettigrew has long been associated with only the finest and freshest ingredients. Today, award-winning chef and co-owner Dominic Jacques serves up seasonal dishes that reflect the rich local gastronomic history and the Rioux & Pettigrew legacy. Groups can book the restaurant’s cozy yet refined intimate private dining room for smaller gatherings while larger groups can take advantage of the beautiful turnkey event space.

Capacity: Groups up to 34 guests or groups up to 120 guests

  • Laurie Raphaël

In a true celebration of Québecois producers and regional terroir, chef Daniel Vézina and his wife, Suzanne Gagnon have pioneered hyper-local, low-waste gastronomy at Laurie Raphaël in the Old Port since 1991. Every dish represents a close collaboration between the restaurant and the farmers and artisans that supply its fresh, seasonal ingredients. Laurie Raphaël welcomes small groups in their private salon while larger groups can book out the entire restaurant.

Capacity: Between 5 and 18 guests and up to 46 guests

  • Chez Muffy

Located in the historic Auberge Saint-Antoine in the city’s Old Port, Chez Muffy offers perhaps the most authentic farm-to-fork culinary experience among the restaurants with private rooms in Québec City. Chez Muffy’s French-Canadian, farmhouse-inspired dishes feature produce grown on the restaurant’s organic farm, just 20 km away on Île d’Orléans. In-house sommeliers can find a wine for any palate from over 750 labels in their curated cellar.

  • Bistro l’Orygine

  • La Tanière³

More than a meal, La Tanière³ promises guests a gastronomic adventure with two distinctive multi-course blind tasting menus featuring only Canadian ingredients and little-known native produce like Lake Saint-Pierre caviar. The experience lasts around three hours and is ideal for groups looking to explore the cutting edge of Québecois culinary innovation.

  • L’Échaudé

Highbrow European-inspired cuisine meets neighbourly service at L’Échaudé, a fixture in the Old Port since 1984. Passersby are sure to be drawn in by the restaurant’s enchanting terrace and, once inside, guests can enjoy elegant French dishes alongside selections from a comprehensive wine list. The restaurant has a warm private dining room for small gatherings offering table d’hôte menus for lunch and dinner.

Saint-Roch

  • Le 101

A family-run business embedded in the local community, Le 101 offers approachable modern French cuisine made with seasonal ingredients and a lot of love. Located at the edge of the bustling rue Saint-Joseph in Saint-Roch, the restaurant caters to an elevated palate in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. A small private dining room is perfect for intimate gatherings while the main dining room has space for larger events.
